Preston Allen
Director
Preston Allen is a Sacramento-based filmmaker and artist with a background in video art, and photography. His work has been shown in art galleries and at other venues in the Sacramento area. He is also a social justice advocate who has worked as a labor organizer where he fought for fair and equal pay for service and healthcare workers.
Sydney Roll
Producer
Sydney Roll is a multimedia producer with a passion for informational content. While she is originally from Oregon, she has gladly chosen Sacramento as her home for the last 6 years. In that time she has made it her mission to create works that not only have artistic merit but also serve as a way to learn something new about the world. As a formerly unhoused youth herself, Sydney is proud to be able to work on a project that seeks to give a voice to stories that are not often heard.
Gavin Veiga
Director of Photography
Gavin Veiga sees filmmaking as a way to open eyes, love others, and inspire people. Visual storytelling drew Gavin to cinematography at a young age, when he fell in love with using cameras to convey beautiful and complex thoughts on screen. Gavin has a background in educating youth, and as a Sacramento native recognizes the need to support our city’s people in need. He is a spiritual person who finds strength in connecting with others through his faith.
A.L. Pruitt
Associate Producer
A.L. Pruitt is a Sacramento-based producer, filmmaker, and community organizer. He writes, directs, and produces film and television. He also organizes a show case multiple times a year, for local talent to see their work in a cinema house; free of charge.
Justin Allen
Designer and Creative Advisor
Justin Allen is a designer, writer and musician from Northern California, based in Chicago. He has helped launch multiple online publications, including AfroLA, and supports EdSource’s award-winning team of reporters with web design, media production and data journalism. Justin is working on the digital presence of Unhoused Neighbors as well as contributing music and creative input to the film.
Denzel Castañon

Denzel is a content creator who focuses on storytelling through narrative pieces, which are his main medium of expression. Uplifting individuals’ journeys through genuine filmmaking across diverse groups and communities stands as the primary goal of his passion for filmmaking.
Emma Nunn
Partnership Coordinator
Emma Nunn is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience supporting programs and communities that serve individuals experiencing homelessness in California and across the nation. She has contributed to creating solutions and support systems for vulnerable populations, and is excited to foster local community connections for the Unhoused Neighbors documentary.
Jereme Greene
Composer
Jereme Greene is a Sacramento-based multi-instrumentalist musician, producer, and composer. In addition to playing in various current projects, he has ventured into music production and composition, writing filmic production music and scores. In 2021, he founded his own boutique music production company, Jungle Variety Studios. Jereme is committed to supporting mental health recovery and education, advocating for those in need.
Francisco Florez
Sound Design
Francisco Flores is originally from Redding, California and obtained a degree in film from Sacramento State. He has a passion for filmmaking, creating art, and a love of all things expressive. He especially enjoys working with pieces that make people think about the realities of our world.
Frankie Salazar
Drone Cinematography
Frankie Salazar is a Stockton-based filmmaker who graduated from Sacramento State University, earning a degree in film studies. His interest and passion for film has been practiced since middleschool. His work has been shown at the iconic Crest Theater in Sacramento and recognized by many.
Autumn Empson
Outreach Coordinator
Autumn Empson is an Outreach Coordinator and Advocate with Break the Gap, a Sacramento based non-profit that caters to the unhoused community through creative social interactions as well as meeting basic needs for food and supplies. Her background is in psychology, research and mental healthcare. Autumn is driven by her faith and her passion to serve those who are overlooked and marginalized.
Yinda Lin
Assistant Producer
Yinda Lin is a cinematographer and editor that grew up in the Bay Area. He has had experience working on many projects spanning from short films to digital show cases for various organizations such as the UC Berkeley Village. He has also developed his creative ability through directing music videos for musical artists. He currently works in sports broadcasting for Sacramento State.
Trinity Kummer

Trinity Kummer received her bachelor’s in New
Media Art at Sacramento State, where her passion for animation and story-driven illustration bloomed. She is now a resident of Sacramento; however, her roots are in Redding California, Wintu land. She enjoys making art that feels ungrounded or other worldly by utilizing multi-mediatechniques.
